Overflow Cafe review shows that 22% of entrepreneurs who are single moms are hiring.

Overflow Cafe, a website promotion company, provided free website promotion services to single moms who were starting a business. The company provided it's advertising service for free for a period of 12 months to allow each client to review results and develop their business. The company now reports that 22% of those new businesses are now expanding and hiring employees, while only 5% have shut their doors.

The project started in January of 2010 when Overflow Cafe was looking up reviews from new business owners and found that single parents seemed to struggle the hardest. The company decided to provide free services (a promotion which ended in September of 2011) to single moms and dads who were starting up a new online or brick and mortar business. At first reception was slow, but by June of the same year approximately 3,000 small businesses signed up, 4% of them single dads. Overflow Cafe has also raised it's annual charitable giving target to $1.2 Million (CAD) per year in light of increased revenue.
