Author Paul Lara tells a story that gives hope and comfort to couples unable to have a child of their own. The Gift: A Bedtime Story will be featured at the California Library Book Exhibit in Pasadena, MN, which will run November 11 to 14, 2011.

The Gift is the story of a young couple that falls in love, gets married, and decides to start a family. The couple patiently prepares for their new arrival, only to discover years later that they are unable to have a child. This encourages them to rely on faith and trust in God to provide their heart’s desire. In their prayers, they promise God they would care and love their child forever. So Heaven looks down on the young couple, hears their plea and decides to give them the greatest blessing anyone can ask for.

Told through vivid narrative and illustration, The Gift is a wonderful book about patience and faith which couples who struggle with infertility can relate to.
