Working with WestBow Press has been a pleasure—they were sincere and professional. They took my dream and perfected it.
Bloomington, IND (PRWEB) October 21, 2011
WestBow Press, the strategic self-publishing division of the world’s largest Christian publisher, Thomas Nelson, Inc., today released a powerful video interview with children’s book author and illustrator Mitzi Doster. Her book, “The Lizard in the Laundry,” was published as a collaborative effort by WestBow Press and the Granting Dreams Foundation to ensure her story and message was captured for children to cherish.
In the interview, Doster discusses her very personal fight with breast cancer and the urgency she felt to turn “The Lizard in the Laundry” from idea to published book. The touching video is available here:
“I wanted to leave a literary legacy, and I wanted a publisher to publish my book. The Granting Dreams Foundation contacted Thomas Nelson publishing and they agreed to do my book through their subsidiary, WestBow Press,” said “The Lizard in the Laundry” author, Mitzi Doster. “Working with WestBow Press has been a pleasure—they were sincere and professional. They took my dream and perfected it.”
The Granting Dreams Foundation, which grants tomorrow’s dreams today for those 19 and older with a life-threatening medical condition, was proud to help Doster make her dream of publishing a children’s book come true. The foundation was also humbled by her wish to donate a portion of the proceeds from “The Lizard in the Laundry” to helping the organization make hundreds of other dreams come true. About the Author
Like the lizard in the laundry, Mitzi Doster has been hiding. Creative and talented, Doster spent most of her life writing and illustrating, but only shared her stories with her family and close friends. A recurring bout with breast cancer prompted her to do something to make a bigger impact with her life. Her desire to leave a literary legacy that will continue to help and encourage others was fulfilled when the Granting Dreams Foundation teamed up with Thomas Nelson to publish her book.
