America's leader in partnership corrections is excited to announce that starting Tuesday, October 25, 2001, Jenkins Correctional Center officially begins hiring for more than 200 professional positions.

CCA offers excellent opportunities for growth and advancement for its employees locally and across the country.

Opening a new facility is always challenging work, but it will be very rewarding as well because our employees have the chance to offer an important service to their community and state at the highest level.

With new facilities come new opportunities, and CCA, America's leader in partnership corrections, is excited to announce its brand-new Jenkins Correctional Center begins hiring more than 200 professionals for positions in operations, security, administration, health services, inmate programs, maintenance, and more on Tuesday, October 25, 2011.

CCA looks forward to developing an excellent relationship with the town of Millen and Jenkins County, as well as with the larger statewide community once it opens the 1,150-bed facility in March 2012. Hiring all security and program staff is a major first step in developing that relationship with its partner state of Georgia and the local communities.

"We expect Jenkins to be the best facility by anyone's standards," said Ralph M. Kemp, warden at Jenkins and longtime Georgia corrections professional. "Opening a new facility is always challenging work, but it will be very rewarding as well because our employees have the chance to offer an important service to their community and state at the highest level."

For Jenkins County, the impact of construction jobs in advance of the permanent employment, presents economic benefit now and for years to come. CCA encourages Jenkins County residents, and other local jobseekers, to apply to any of the available positions and join the nationwide CCA family.

"At Jenkins, you're not just working for a local company, you're working for a national industry leader," said Kemp. "There's plenty of room to grow within CCA and work with the best in the business at all levels."

Many of the positions offer CCA's competitive salaries and generous benefits, including health, vision and dental insurance, flexible spending accounts, 401(k), disability and life insurance, paid time off and career development.

"CCA offers excellent opportunities for growth and advancement for its employees locally and across the country," said Cheryl Hollinshead, CCA recruiter. "We pride ourselves on taking care of our CCA family and making sure that everyone has a chance to learn and grow."

To help local applicants navigate the hiring process, CCA will have a representative available on Tuesday, October 25, from 9AM-4PM at the Georgia Department of Labor office at 856 Cotton Ave., Millen, Ga., and on Wednesday, October 26, from 9AM-4PM at Georgia Workready, 527 Barney Ave., Millen, Ga. The representative will have information and answer questions about benefits, applying and employment with CCA at these sessions, which are open to the public.

Applicants interested in careers with Jenkins Correctional Center can visit CCAJob.com, search "Careers," then choose the Millen, Ga., location from the drop down menu to see available positions. If applicants have any questions, they can email careers(at)cca(dot)com.

CCA has a long history with the state of Georgia and local communities and currently owns or operates five facilities throughout the state. CCA first partnered with Georgia when it opened Coffee Correctional Facility and Wheeler Correctional Facility in 1998. CCA also partners with Immigrations and Customs Enforcement and the Federal Bureau of Prisons in the operations of its other Georgia facilities.
