IA is particularly critical for large sites that have useful content and data for visitors that may be hidden in poorly designed labeling, navigation and search systems, but any website can benefit from having IA principles applied at any time.

Search Engine Academy Washington DC (SEA DC), in coordination with Search Engine Academy, is conducting its' first-ever webinar on using search engine optimization (SEO) processes to create a web site's Infrastructure Architecture (IA) to improve content organization, so that the most important information can be quickly and easily found by web visitors.

Interested listeners may register to learn about IA and SEO, which will be conducted on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at 1 PM Eastern Time.

SEA DC chose to talk about IA because "it's not well known that IA for websites even exists. It's a very useful process for organizing your content, to get the most important information up there in your top-level pages. SEO and IA go together because they share goals in making sure visitors find and get the best, most important information quickly," according to Nancy E. Wigal, the owner and operator of SEA DC.

"We're going to go over how the four main IA systems - organization, labeling, navigation and search - are in tandem with SEO, and how you can use SEO to develop each system so your visitors stay longer on your site and look at more pages," said Nancy.

IA is particularly critical for large sites that have useful content and data for visitors that may be hidden in poorly designed labeling, navigation and search systems, but any website can benefit from having IA principles applied at any time.

"Obviously, the smaller the number of pages a site has, the easier it is to wrap your arms around IA and implement it, but in a large company, there's going to be a team of multi-discipline experts to do this together. The SEO specialist is just one person who contributes her part to making the best web design experience and usability possible," said Nancy.

SEA uses GoToMeeting software solutions to deliver their webinars. It's a great user experience to share information with interested individuals," said Nancy.

Anyone with a website that could be improved for both organizing and finding the most important content should listen in on this webinar to see how they can easily use SEO to create an IA for their site quickly to improve visitor experience.
