Arizona portrait artist Chris Saper's commission portrait of Rick Della Ratta recognizes Jazz for Peace's ten year milestone in global fund-raising. The portrait project was spearheaded by Burton Danet, PhD, co- founder of A Better Community for All - ABC4ALL- an organization whose mission is to support charitable causes worldwide, within the context of individual communities.

Since the first Jazz for Peace concert, shortly after 9-11, founder Rick DellaRatta has promoted jazz and philanthropy worldwide through more that 800 live performances.
Saper has delivered almost 400 commissioned portraits nationwide, and every one has a story. "The painted portrait is a timeless tradition of love, honor and respect", she says, and painting each portrait allows me a very special glimpse into my subjects, their lives, and their emotions."
Chris Saper has painted commissioned portraits for twenty-two years for clients throughout the United States. She is recognized for her expertise in painting skin tones, and her newest book, Classic Portrait Painting in Oils: Keys to Mastering Diverse Skin Tones, is scheduled for release February 6, 2012.
Saper has been widely published in art magazines, and is an active teacher, speaker and demonstrator. She is also gaining rapid recognition for her opulent still life and floral paintings, and is represented by Abend Gallery.
