Texas HERO Campaign Asks Customers to Share Home Energy Savings Experiences on Facebook

Share Article

Be a Texas Hero Campaign uses social media to promote the importance of a Home Energy Checkup.

When it comes to promoting the benefits of a Home Energy Checkup, Texas Home Energy Rating Organization realizes nothing speaks louder than customer testimonials. And there’s no better way to spread the word than Facebook!

The Texas HERO’s mission is to help their customers take control of their home’s air quality, comfort, and family budget and begin saving energy immediately. Each audit provides the homeowner a computer-generated analysis that identifies energy efficiency, performance deficiencies and pinpoints rapid savings opportunities.

The end result proves many customers find energy savings of 15 – 40 % after implementing suggestions from Texas HERO’s Home Energy Checkup!

Now, Texas HERO customers can share their success stories with their Facebook friends and teach others about the importance of a home energy checkup. While doing this everyone can earn points for prizes and a chance to win a $1000 Home Depot shopping spree.

Here’s how the contest works:

-Visit the Texas HERO Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/txhero611) and enter the Be a Texas Hero contest.

-Read about experiences from others who have already had a home energy checkup. Vote, comment and share the stories with Facebook friends to earn points for prizes.

-One lucky Texas HERO will win a $1,000 Home Depot gift card in a raffle drawing at the end of our contest.

-The more points contestants earn, the more raffle entries they can redeem in the grand prize drawing!

-The contest ends November 18, 2011
