Altamonte Springs, Florida (PRWEB) October 24, 2011
BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy (BioPlus), one of the nation’s leading specialty pharmacies, will participate as an exhibitor at The Liver Meeting, the 62nd Annual meeting of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases to be held November 4-8, 2011 at the Moscone West Convention Center in San Francisco, CA.
The Liver Meeting® provides a forum for the exchange of groundbreaking basic, translational, and clinical research related to liver diseases, as well as liver transplantation. Over 8,000 hepatologists and hepatology health professionals from around the world will attend next week’s Liver Meeting, which offers educational sessions, poster sessions, and networking opportunities, along with an exhibition.
Representatives from BioPlus will be debuting the new intuitive Therapy Access Portal application, known as TAP App and be available to speak with attendees about the full range of services available from BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy. “TAP App, which can be used on smart phones, tablets, or laptops, gives physicians full visibility to patients who are being serviced by our specialty pharmacy,” says Amanda Brown, Director of Rx Coordinators at BioPlus. “By putting the pharmacy chart inside the physician’s office, BioPlus’ TAP App offers improved communication and decreases the administrative burden of reimbursement, prescription writing, adherence monitoring, and drug list reviews.” BioPlus will be located in Booth #511.
Exhibit Dates and Times
Saturday, November 5 - (5 :00 – 7:30 p.m.)

TAP App is the latest innovation in BioPlus’ ongoing effort to leverage technology toward the goal of ensuring treatment and improving outcomes. As evidence of the success of BioPlus’ efforts, the latest compliance statistics from a sampling of the treatment programs at BioPlus, which includes more than 22,200 BioPlus patients being treated for hepatitis, oncology, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, Crohn’s disease, and other conditions, finds that BioPlus achieves a 91 percent compliance rate at discharge. By comparison, the compliance rate for retail and mail-order pharmacies is only 50 percent.
