While calling “Occupy” credible, Novotorium Leader Mike Krupit vows to hold event as scheduled.

We believe the calls to ‘Occupy Novotorium’ are credible, but we will not let this dissuade us from holding our launch event as scheduled.

The November 1 launch event for Novotorium, a new business accelerator serving the greater Philadelphia region, will be held as expected and participants should not be concerned about interference from the Occupy movement, according to Novotorium Leader Mike Krupit.

“We believe the calls to ‘Occupy Novotorium’ are credible, but we will not let this dissuade us from holding our launch event as scheduled,” Krupit said. “Novotorium is on private property. We work in a secure facility and do not anticipate any problems at the launch party. We expect a large turnout from entrepreneurs, partners and interested members of the business community.”

The website http://www.occupynovotorium.com, a YouTube video and an Occupy Novotorium Meetup Group have appeared in the days leading up to Novotorium’s official launch next week. The website says, “Occupy Novotorium is a powerful entrepreneurial movement manifested in the collaboration of diverse people. . . government isn’t going to make jobs – we have to work together and create jobs for ourselves. We want economic growth, jobs, and security.” It is unclear how much momentum is building for the Occupy Novotorium movement at this time.

A written statement issued on the Novotorium website says in part:
“Novotorium respects the rights of people in America to dissent and express their political opinions publicly. We also respect the rights of businesses to operate in the free market. Novotorium is a private business venture aimed at helping entrepreneurs create jobs and build sustainable long-term profitability. Novotorium is an apolitical organization focused on innovation and collaboration.”

Undaunted by the possibility of conflict with Occupy activists, Krupit said: “We like the energetic spirit of the people in the Occupy movement, and want many of the same things for America that the Occupy movement is calling for: job growth, low unemployment, and more Americans enjoying the advantages of prosperity experienced by higher wager earners,” Krupit said. “We hope that passionate entrepreneurs will also embrace this and become part of Novotorium.”
Entrepreneurs, prospective Novotorium partners and members of the business community are invited to register for the event through the company website, http://www.Novotorium.com. Tickets are free, but required for admission. The catered event will also feature entertainment by recording artist Kevin Neidig and iPad caricature artist Angie Jordan. Participants will also have the opportunity to network with other like-minded professionals.
