Philbin to explore the key considerations for delivering mobile apps and websites via a hosted infrastructure.

Antenna Software, Inc., helping enterprises to build, manage and publish mobile apps and websites that transform business, today announced that Brian Philbin, senior sales engineer, will be presenting at the Portable Computer and Communications Association (PCCA) workshop, “Mobile Cloud Computing and Mobile Web Technologies” on Oct. 26 in Portland, OR.

WHAT: The PCCA workshop will examine opportunities, issues and evolving architectures around mobile cloud computing. Topics examined by presenters and attendees include security, HTML5 implementation, network limitations and various cloud deployment models. The event draws a dynamic and experienced audience of key industry stakeholders who represent a broad spectrum of the mobile computing industry including operators, infrastructure vendors, device vendors, middleware providers and application developers.

Philbin will be presenting a session titled, “Mobile Platform Considerations for Cloud Computing.” Drawing on his experience helping leading companies to implement and deploy enterprise-class mobile applications, Philbin will discuss how to:

  •     Build, publish and manage mobile applications and content that helps to accelerate, streamline and improve business processes – and optimize them for any internet-connected device.
  •     View mobile as an opportunity to rethink interactions with customers, employees, and business partners and design user interfaces that are elegant and engaging and results-oriented.
  •     Understand that one application architecture does not fit all business requirements and the use cases for native, web and hybrid apps.
  •     Leverage cloud-based services to easily plug in essential functionality to all mobile apps, such as security, integration, mobile device management, analytics, and transaction management.

Other companies presenting at the workshop include HP, Intel Labs, NetMotion Wireless, AT&T and Cisco. The workshop is chaired by Peter Rysavy, president of Rysavy Research.

WHO: Although he doesn’t look that old, Philbin has over three decades of experience in software, business process management and field service -- managing myriad mobile deployments on behalf of Antenna’s multinational clients around the world.
