Starting on November 3rd, HomeCEUConnection.com will host three continuing education webinars focusing on Seating and Positioning, and presented by Michelle Lange, OTR, ABDA, ATP/SMS.
The first in the series, titled, Positioning Clients with High Tone, focuses on positioning challenges frequently seen in clients with high muscle tone and common strategies to address those challenges. Positioning Clients with High Tone kicks off at 8am CST on Thursday, November 3rd, and will last 2 hours. Participants will earn 2 continuing education hours of credit for this course upon completing the brief post course exam, and will receive a certificate of completion. Each course may be taken as a stand-alone opportunity for continuing education credit; they do not need to be taken in succession.
Geriatric Seating, also presented by Michelle Lange, focuses on special considerations, clinical indicators, and common diagnosis of seating intervention in the elderly population. This course is worth 2 continuing education contact hours, and will take place live on November 3rd at 4pm CST.
The third live, online, continuing education seminar presented by Ms. Lange, is Tilt Vs. Recline: Clinical Indicators, which is also worth 2 contact hours. Tilt Vs. Recline: Clinical Indicators focuses on clinical advantages, disadvantages, and product limitations of power tilt, recline, and tilt/recline systems.
About the Speaker: Michelle Lange
Michelle Lange OTR, ABDA, ATP/SMS, an occupational therapist, and a recent presenter at the continuing education conference, Rehab Rally. Ms. Lange has over 20 years of experience in the area of assistive technology. The former Clinical Director of The Assistive Technology Clinics of The Children’s Hospital of Denver, Ms Lange’s work in assistive technology includes a broad range of roles and services. A well-respected lecturer both nationally and internationally, Ms Lange and has authored 7 book chapters and over 100 articles and is the editor of Fundamentals in Assistive Technology, 4th Ed. Ms. Lange is currently on the teaching faculty of the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America (RESNA) and is a member of the Assistive Technology Journal Editorial Board.
