We want to help our customers manage their budgets by taking the guesswork out of their electricity bills.
Irving, Texas (PRWEB) October 26, 2011
Texas’ unpredictable weather makes it difficult for utility customers to predict what their next electricity bill will be. To help customers control their budgets, First Choice Power is offering a new monthly average billing program.
“We want to help our customers manage their budgets by taking the guesswork out of their electricity bills,” said Brian Hayduk, president of First Choice Power. “By averaging their usage, we can eliminate the seasonal highs and lows that can put a financial strain on customers.”
How It Works
Each month, First Choice Power will average the customer’s usage with their usage over the last 11 months. Then, the average amount of usage will be multiplied by the rate on which the customer agreed when signing his or her contract.
Last, First Choice Power will add or subtract 1/12 of the accumulated difference between the customer’s average bills and his or her actual bills. This difference will fluctuate over time as the customer’s actual usage differs from the amount of each bill.
By tracking the accumulated difference and applying a small portion each month, there are no surprise “true-up” costs for the customer throughout the year.
“We anticipate that customers will enjoy the peace-of-mind that comes with average billing,” Hayduk said.
