StoneLite® Panels Brought in to Upgrade Retail Store's Facade According to Stone Panels, Inc.

In May of 2010, Stone Panels, Inc. received word that the company had been selected to provide StoneLite® panels for a renovation project involving Bloomingdale's flagship store on Third Avenue in Manhattan. HBO was to film in front of the the store and promote its hit series “Boardwalk Empire" as a part of “Fashion's Night Out". In order to prepare the retail store for the big event, Bloomingdale's deemed it necessary to renovate the store's exterior facade. Over 7,000 square feet of highly-polished Black Absolute Granite StoneLite® panels were provided and installed in record fashion, in order to replace the store's existing exterior facade and make the location presentable for the show's premiere.

Undoubtedly, Bloomingdale's chose Stone Panels, Inc. because StoneLite® panels offer renovators an easier and quicker installation process due to their being 80 percent lighter than the alternative of dimensional stone. Likewise, StoneLite® panels can be put in place with minimal disruption to building operations, making them an ideal renovation material for retail stores whose doors need to stay open for business. Bloomingdale's may have chosen StoneLite® panels primarily for short-term reasons of HBO's “Boardwalk Empire" premiere, but the long-term benefits can not go overlooked for this retailer or the dozens of household-name retail stores across the country for which StoneLite® panels have been incorporated.

StoneLite® panels offer retail stores a durable and strong product in StoneLite® that can handle heavy shopper traffic for years to come. Typical retail customers of Stone Panels, Inc. include: Neiman Marcus, Apple, Ann Taylor, The Gap, Banana Republic, William Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Burberry, Sephora, Lord & Taylor, Godiva Chocolatier, Ferragamo, St. John's Knits, and Parisian.

StoneLite® panels have given retailers a flexibility not found with traditional solid stone facades. The natural stone composite panels from Stone Panels, Inc. can be easily pieced together and allow retail brands to have the upmost control over their store's (and therefore brand's) cohesive look. For Bloomingdale's in New York City and retail stores everywhere, there isn't a better solution for the short-term or the long-term.
