Leading entertainment advertising agency The Ant Farm’s Gaming Division won top honors at the 40th annual Hollywood Reporter Key Art Awards at the Cinerama Dome on October 19, 2011. The Key Art Awards is Hollywood’s most recognized awards competition in advertising and communications, and this year has partnered with the Clio Awards for the first time and expanded to include television and gaming.
The Ant Farm Gaming Division won a silver award in the audio/visual category for its "Call of Duty: Black Ops" launch trailer, and bronze awards in audio/visual for its "Inversion" trailer, and in game packaging for "Disney's Epic Mickey." The Ant Farm received more awards and nominations for video games than any other marketing agency and was nominated for six video game campaigns altogether.
“As video game advertising continues to grow more dynamic and sophisticated, we’re excited to be recognized by our peers for producing some of the most creative and distinctive marketing campaigns in the industry," said The Ant Farm Co-President Rob Troy.
In April, The Ant Farm was named Agency of the Year by MI6, the association that recognizes the best and brightest agency stars in the interactive entertainment community, which was the first time MI6 has recognized an agency for this honor. The Ant Farm won more than 10 awards at MI6 including Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards for its work on Call of Duty: Black Ops.
A record-breaking 2,558 entries were judged by this year's Key Art judge panels. The Key Art Awards jury is comprised of leading professionals in the entertainment industry who are prominent players in advertising, marketing and communications.
