100% Java release to offer complete data visualization for tablets, smartphones and next-generation business intelligence solutions

Advanced Visual Systems (http://www.avs.com, OTC PINK: AVSC), developer of data visualization software used by leading corporations and software makers, has announced a Q1-2012 release of a pure Java edition of its popular OpenViz technology. The forthcoming Java release will enable mobile users to enjoy a more dynamic interaction with business intelligence data than is currently possible on tablets and smartphones and allow software developers to replicate the desktop experience of software applications that become marginalized in their effectiveness through a mobile deployment.

OpenViz is a powerful API (application programming interface) that consists of over 200 Java and Windows components that are used to import, analyze and visualize all types of corporate data. The software has been widely deployed in the field of business intelligence, risk management and customer analytics to exploit and present large volumes of data that are difficult to work with by less powerful visual analysis tools. The upcoming Android release will pass along much of the differentiating power of OpenViz to the mobile platform offering the flexibility, functionality and stability of a traditional Java development experience.

Distinctive features of OpenViz include a versatile in-memory data processing system, the ability to work with extremely large datasets, a vast library of charting and interactive techniques, unprecedented control over the look, feel and behavior of data visualizations, and a powerful renderer that produces 2D and 3D images that can be delivered to end-users in a variety of browser-based and desktop configurations. First released in 1999, OpenViz is one of the most comprehensive data visualization technologies available to corporate and OEM teams creating advanced analytic applications.

According to Anoop Chatterjee, CTO of Advanced Visual Systems, “OpenViz for the Android will definitely change the perception of what data visualization is all about on a mobile device. We are packaging our twenty years of data visualization know how and keen understanding of what end-users want and need in a mobile experience into this release, empowering our Enterprise and OEM clients with the ability to create game-changing applications.”
