Solage Calistoga’s Signature Restaurant Awarded One Star By Michelin’s 2012 Bay Area Guide For Third Consecutive Year

Solbar, the 125-seat signature restaurant at Napa Valley’s Solage Calistoga, has been honored with a Michelin Star for the third year in a row in the Michelin Guide San Francisco, Bay Area & Wine Country 2012 guide, released today. Internationally recognized as the preeminent culinary authority, Michelin named Solbar among an elite group of just 47 Bay Area restaurants of which 17 are in Napa Valley, as the best of the best. To evaluate restaurants included in the influential guide, highly-trained Michelin inspectors anonymously visit each establishment, provide objective assessments and judge on five criteria: the quality of products used, the mastering of flavors and cooking, the “personality” of the cuisine, and the value and the consistency of dishes prepared.
