TurningPoint to Streamline and Optimize Wireless Telecom Management for Army and Air Force

TurningPoint Global Solutions, a professional software engineering services and enabling technologies firm, today announced that the United States Army Contracting Command (ACC)-Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) has awarded the company a 3-year contract for program management, ordering, reporting and data analysis services for the Army/Air Force Next Generation Wireless Blanket Purchase Agreements (NGW-BPAs).

TurningPoint will leverage its Software as a Service (SaaS) Network Inventory and Optimization Solution (NiOS®), to establish a Telecommunications Lifecycle Management (TLM) framework with a web portal that Army and Air Force personnel will use for wireless BPA contract administration, rate plan and device price comparison, ordering of services, inventory management, spend analysis, rate plan optimization, validation of BPA holder data, and process improvement for BPA governance.

TurningPoint is delivering the NiOS-based Telecommunications Lifecycle Management (TLM) solution, an industry-proven TurningPoint-built and FISMA compliant application. TLM provides best practices, key strategies and management tools for agencies to manage present and future telecom services and assets, both wired and wireless. NiOS automates Wireless BPA order processing and tracking. It also empowers the Army/Air Force NGW-BPA users and contract administrators with the ability to effectively manage wireless telecommunications equipment and services, perform billing reconciliation, and telecom spend analysis and optimization, all without increasing headcount.

These efforts will improve decision-making, manage wireless device costs and increase usage visibility for the Army/ Air Force. Ultimately, the enterprise level management and optimization of wireless devices will increase the overall efficiency of the program and acquisition organizations, enable better communication support for war-fighters, and save money on Army and Air Force wireless BPA expenditures.
