Event grossed $383,200 for the international nonprofit organization

Water For People, an international nonprofit that aims to bring safe water and sanitation systems to everyone, hosted the seventh annual The Coca-Cola Company and CDM 2011 Water For People Golf Classic at Sanctuary golf course, presented by RE/MAX Inc. on August 3, 2011. The event grossed $383,200 for the Denver-based organization.

The sold-out event brought 124 golfers, each competing for 31 teams. All golfers participated in a scramble golf tournament, as well as putting, chipping, longest-drive and other contests in support of the organization’s mission to develop lasting and locally-sustainable safe water and sanitation solutions in the developing world.

“This was a terrific event, and we are so thankful to everyone who participated in and sponsored the golf tournament,” said Ned Breslin, Water For People’s CEO. “Without their continued support, we would not be able to impact the lives of so many men, women and children in the developing world who live without access to safe water.”
