Tel-Aviv, Israel (PRWEB) October 29, 2011
Paz Itzhaki-Weinberger, Esq., Chairman of IWC Limited, attended the prestigious event of the Israel British Embassy, launching the new and innovative High-Tech Hub.
The event which took place at the private residence of H.E Matthew Gould, the British Ambassador to Israel, located in Ramat-Gan, Israel, on Thursday, October 27th evening.
The new innovative High-Tech Hub is tasked with building partnerships between British and Israeli high-tech firms, and promoting the UK as the European partner of choice for Israeli high-tech companies.
The event was planned to be in the presence of The Rt Hon George Osborne, MP, Chancellor of the Exchequer, who was unable to attend (for obvious reasons - the Eurozone leaders deal took higher priority, as it should) yet participated in the event off-line, via a recorded message.
Said Paz Itzhaki-Weinberger: "I am very excited to see the new and innovative High-Tech Hub of the British Embassy being formed, and praise Matthew Gould for this move which is to the best of my knowledge unique and first among any Embassy in Israel. I have long claimed the UK is the European partner of choice for Israeli high-tech companies, and also for several other sectors of the industry. I am deeply familiar with the UK-Israel trade relations due to my many years of activity with the Israel-Britain Chamber of Commerce (IBCC) which is an amazing chamber of commerce led by a talented group of individuals, the best of all chambers in Israel, and I do hope to see major cooperations of Israeli companies with the new high-tech hub. Personally I can testify that I have full intention to aid and support the hub and also utilize the hub's abilities to promote and increase business with the UK, a country where I already have a vast range of businesses and activities and where I frequently visit".
Added Paz Itzhaki-Weinberger: "I believe the event itself was a huge success, I saw many familiar faces from the Israeli high-tech industry, including some leaders and trend-makers of the industry. The evening was well-organized, and I know the results will shortly follow. As always, it was a pleasure to arrive to the current Ambassadorial residence, not only because it's a short walking distance from my own private residence so I could (and did) easily arrive by foot, but also because of the quality of the residence as a place to hold and host successful events in a remarkable atmosphere. I was very sorry to hear the British government was selling off the current Ambassadorial residence, located in the most prestigious residential site in Ramat Gan, yet I am positive that the alternate residence will be of very high standards as well"
