Square Shooters Deluxe Game Set

"Square Shooters is more than just one great game," says inventor Carmelyn Calvert. "You can endlessly play dice versions of other card games."

The amazing new dice game featuring a full deck of playing cards printed on nine dice launched its Facebook video contest at the Las Vegas Hilton on Thursday October 27. The Square Shooters “That’s How I RollTM” contest invites contestants to show off their hilarious or dramatic rolling style using the patented dice. Contestants have a chance to win a $1,500 shopping spree and other great prizes. The runner up wins a $500 shopping spree. See http://www.thatshowirolldice.com for contest details.

Called “amazing” and “mind-blowing” by the National Parenting Center, the Square Shooters dice have been strategically engineered to allow players to achieve every possible 4-of-a-kind and straight flush combination, making the dice suitable for playing almost any card game including poker and rummy.

“Square Shooters® is more than just one great game,” says the game’s inventor, Carmelyn Calvert. “When you’re done playing the feature game, you can endlessly play dice versions of other card games like rummy, 21 and poker.” The game has earned three major awards within only nine months of its introduction.

Heartland Consumer Products, the Cleveland-based manufacturer of high quality playing cards including the popular Vegas® brand, introduced the Square Shooters® game (http://www.squareshooters.com) in February at the 2011 International Toy Fair held in New York City. The game impressed toy buyers from both mass and specialty retailers around the U.S., and Heartland immediately went into mass production to meet the demand.

”The game’s versatility has been the key,” says Tom Donelan, Heartland’s President & CEO. “Parents know that it can bring different ages and generations together. It can be as simple as a matching game for kids, and then a game of chance for adults. It plays well at both the kitchen table and the party table.”

Amber Dickens, Heartland’s Marketing Director, says, “’That’s How I Roll’ is a perfect trademark for Square Shooters. The dice give players an unprecedented opportunity to create their own games and have fun with their own style.”

Square Shooters (MSRP $12.99/Basic Set and $19.99/Deluxe Set) is designed for one or more players ages 8 and up. The game is widely available at Walmart this holiday season, with other national retailers such as Bed, Bath & Beyond, Books-a-Million, and Calendar Club carrying the game in select stores.
