The decisions we made reflect our thoughtful consideration of the way in which forklift customers need to do business and how we can make sure they always have a positive experience when they do business with us.

Forklift Pro, a wholesale forklift distributor headquartered in Pineville, NC, spent the past three years strategically implementing efficiency improvements that have worked not only to generate new business globally but to effectively raise the bar in the forklift industry for the level of service a customer can now come to expect.
“We were looking to expand our business in a way that not only helped us to grow but that actually enhanced the level of service we are able to provide customers,” explained Janet Caldwell, VP of Forklift Pro. “The decisions we made reflect our thoughtful consideration of the way in which forklift customers need to do business and how we can make sure they always have a positive experience when they do business with us.”
The company embarked on several projects simultaneously, chief among them being the need for a new website. After an unsuccessful turn with one developer, Forklift Pro hired AIMG’s Industrial Web Solutions. “We are so happy with our new website,” said Caldwell, “that we had Industrial Web Solutions build our custom, web-based inventory management system. The new application allows us to effectively track new acquisitions as well as existing inventory, making it easy for the sales team to provide customers with the equipment they are looking for in a timely manner.”
With new leads coming in from the website, Forklift Pro expanded their sales team to keep up with the demand. “We needed to add more sales people to manage the influx of sales opportunities,” stated Caldwell. “We are fortunate to have an outstanding sales team made up of industry experts with more than thirty years of forklift experience. Customers are confident to do business with us because our sales team can not only answer their specific questions but now with our new inventory management application they can quickly let them know if we have what they need in stock.” The company’s sales team also has a Spanish speaking representative who handles all the business in Central and South America as well as other Spanish-speaking nations globally.
In order to give customers quick access to their forklift experts, Forklift Pro introduced 'Call the Pros.' Governed by a commitment to answer the phone and speak with the customer directly, 'Call the Pros' is about ensuring Forklift Pro remains close to the concerns and queries of potential and existing customers. “Through a greater understanding of the interests and concerns of our customers,” said Caldwell, “we are able to continue to make improvements that let them know we’re listening to them and we’re willing to do what it takes to get them what they need. When we say 'Call the Pros' we really mean you will get a live, knowledgeable person right away who will help you.”
Among some of the company’s other efficiency improvements is an increase in their number of skilled mechanics. “Enhanced maintenance and repair capabilities,” explained Caldwell, “mean a faster turn-around for customers who depend on their equipment being operational for their business. It’s just another example of our commitment to serving our customers at the highest possible level. And I’m pretty sure they’ve taken notice!”
