Masy Systems, Inc. in Lomar Park, Pepperell, a provider of quality services for the pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device industries announced that two members of their Biostorage team have completed the necessary training for proper handling of BioHazardous Material when shipping via ground and air.
Melissa Gravel and Greg Kelly, Biorepository Assistants at Masy, completed the DOT Shipper Course for shipping hazardous materials by ground. This allows Masy to transport materials that require dry ice.
DOT shipping requirements include definitions, security planning, hazardous materials identification, bulk and non-bulk labeling, marking, truck placarding, product and waste shipping documents, and emergency response information for shipments of hazardous materials, hazardous wastes and hazardous substances.
Ms. Gravel also completed the International Air Shipping Course for shipping hazardous materials by air.
