Coming from an independent developing company from Portugal, Wingz Studio released this iPad puzzle game, and it looks like it could seriously have some impact in the industry in many fronts, including addictiveness; craziness of its character; sheer unadulterated fun and of course the inevitable sheer head scratching, one-more-go frustration, that a brilliant iPad Puzzle game like this engenders.
"StringZ HD" will probably reminds a bit of "Chillingo" Cut the Rope, and it should. The two games are similar. The main difference here is that instead of cutting ropes, you’re creating them out of thin air.
Each level has "Z" stuck in a robotic claw at the top of the screen, while his spaceship is all the way at the bottom. Between the two are any number of obstacles: spinning moons, angry bombs, rotating platforms, ominous black holes and deadly lasers.
The game play is simple enough. Placing pieces of string and elastic at various angles around the level, hit a button to release Z and hope he falls safely into his spaceship grabbing some stars on its way down.
The graphics are clean and cute, and the physics work pretty well in this game and the music is brilliant.
Stringz HD was recently in first place at the App Store in Portugal (bestseller puzzle games) and looks like it is getting more and more fans every day all over the World.
