Whitsons is proud to introduce Mark J. Simkiss as the newest addition to our team. As a Regional Vice-President of Sales, Mr. Simkiss’ primary function is to develop the School Nutrition business in the Mid-Atlantic States as Whitsons continues to expand. Utilizing the Whitsons’ pillars of “People, Food and Communications” and incorporating the values of a family-owned business, Mr. Simkiss will focus on providing customized services to a wide variety of contract managed and self-operated school districts.
Mr. Simkiss has been in the food service industry since 1974. He began his career on the financial side; however, since 1984 he has been involved in the operational aspect of food service, holding executive positions in diverse areas such as K-12 and higher education. He is a member of the Society for Food Service Management, Pennsylvania Association of School Business Officials (PASBO), Association of School Business Officials (ASBO) and actively participates in the Council of Great Cities.
