Washington DC's East End Will Soon Have a New Place to Break a Sweat

According to Capital Retail Group, by February 2012 residents and office workers near 1401 New York Avenue, NW, will have a new place to get a challenging workout.

Capital Retail Group today announced Fitness EFX, a fitness and training company has signed a lease to expand its business to Washington DC. Trading as Crossfit Bethesda and Crossfit Extreme Fitness in Rockville, Fitness EFX serves up high intensity workouts to both avid athletes and those new to exercise. Fitness EFX will occupy 5,800 square feet at 1401 New York Avenue NW and is expected to be open by February 2012. Located in Washington’s East End, between the United States Capitol and the Golden Triangle, 1401 New York Avenue is a 190,000 square foot office building located two blocks from the White House and one block from the McPherson Square Metro Station.

Fitness Efx owner Judd Borakove says, “Fitness Efx is a multi-location fitness facility focused on bringing real world fitness to everyone,” and states, “We are excited about expanding to DC. It will benefit our potential and existing clients alike.”

Robert Tack, CEO of Capital Retail Group partnered with Todd Sherbacow of McBride Real Estate in representing the tenant. Tack says, “The space entrance is on the 1st floor with easy access and good visibility. The entrance leads to the lower level where the actual gym is located.”
