This is further evidence that the data we are providing our customers is allowing them to discern meaning from all of the conversations that occur every moment on the web and turn that into actionable intelligence that positively impacts their business.

Infegy, the preeminent source for sentiment-driven web and social analytics, announced that IT market research and advisory firm International Data Corporation (IDC) has selected it as an “Innovative Business Analytics Company Under $100M to Watch.” Infegy is recognized as one of the leading innovators in the Collaborative Decision Management category in IDC’s Innovative Business Analytics Companies Under $100 Million to Watch, 2011 (IDC #230923), October 2011, for its delivery of Social Radar, the industry’s most intelligent social media and web analytics platform.

IDC invited search and business intelligence technology vendors to submit entries for IDC's third annual Software Innovation Awards in one of three categories: Collaborative Decision Management; Cloud-Based Analytics; and Mobile Analytics, which are the topics IDC analysts consider to be the most notable drivers of change from 2010–2011.

"New technologies are eliminating boundaries between content and data to enable pervasive access to all relevant information,” said Henry Morris, Senior VP, Worldwide Software and Services at IDC. “Contributing to this innovation is a group of small companies with the vision and technology to have an impact on the IT marketplace."

Social Radar measures online sentiment to gauge trends, predict consumer needs, and drive corporate strategy for the brands, products, and services that aim to meet the dynamically-changing needs of an increasingly crowded and cacophonous marketplace.
It is delivered through the cloud in a subscription-based format and is used to formulate strategies by and for some of the world’s largest and most innovative brands.

“Infegy is proud to be recognized by IDC as an innovative business analytics company to watch,” said Justin Graves, Founder and CEO of Infegy. “This is further evidence that the data we are providing our customers is allowing them to discern meaning from all of the conversations that occur every moment on the web and turn that into actionable intelligence that positively impacts their business.”

IDC’s “Innovative Companies Under $100M to Watch” reports are a qualitative evaluation of a set of vendors within a specific market; they are not a stack ranking. Nor do they represent an exhaustive evaluation of all companies in a segment or a comparative ranking of the companies in the report. IDC solicited entries from vendors of less than $100 million that exemplify specific key trends (selected by analysts) that are driving change in a specific software market. Vendors then submitted case studies that exemplified one of the trends used as the basis for the award. These case studies were evaluated individually and independently by related market analysts across several pre-determined criteria. The teams then met to review the scores. The case studies submitted for review had to demonstrate that the technology was available, able to be implemented, and provided real-world benefits to the customer.
