OmniAccess, Marine network specialist and partner to the super yacht industry, will showcase new products and services at the forthcoming Marine Equipment Trade Show (METS) 2011, taking place between 15th and 17th November at the Amsterdam RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre. Exhibiting within Hall 10, the Super Yacht Pavilion, at stand 10.706, the team at OmniAccess will be showcasing its new PLEXUS Controller and a new project from 360º Marine Electronics, the iSky AV platform.

BroadBEAM Flex coverage footprints - now includes the Pacific Ocean, the Maldives and Asia

We have launched several exciting new products recently including an enhanced BroadBEAM FLEX VSAT airtime service and an ultra-fast BroadBEAM ULTRA 20 Megabit VSAT service, which have already attracted a lot of interest from the industry.

PLEXUS is OmniAccess’ unique, integrated, IP-based data network, designed specifically for marine use. In recognition of the fact that all large yachts require a reliable converged onboard IT network infrastructure in order to ensure seamless internet and phone connectivity, OmniAccess has created PLEXUS to run all the yacht’s systems, such as telephony, audio and video (AV), security CCTV, and internet.

The new PLEXUS Controller, which will be showcased at METS for the first time, is a network management and bandwidth control system in a compact base processor module that provides a number of benefits. These include the complete management and control of the onboard network, as well as a simple web user interface and real-time bandwidth monitoring. The PLEXUS Controller also can be used to selectively allow/deny access to users at the touch of a button, prioritise and filter traffic and select the desired wide area network (WAN) connection.

The second new product which will be on display on the OmniAccess stand is the new iSky entertainment and information platform project from 360º Marine Electronics. This all-in-one product integrates and stores all audio and video content, and is compatible with all satellite TV systems, offering live satellite TV via either a VSAT, WiFi or a 3G connection. iSky has IP streaming capabilities, has a simple and personalised user interface as well as home automation capabilities so that blinds, lights, doors and security can be easily and remotely controlled.

OmniAccess, which was established in 1999, is a specialist in designing, installing and operating marine networks and services for large yachts and commercial vessels. It products are suitable for new build or refit projects and are used by a growing portfolio of high-profile clients and on high-end projects. This year is the second time that OmniAccess will exhibit in the Super Yacht Pavilion at METS.

Carlos Carbajal, Managing Director Yacht Services at OmniAccess, said: “We have launched several exciting new products recently including an enhanced BroadBEAM FLEX VSAT airtime service and an ultra-fast BroadBEAM ULTRA 20 Megabit VSAT service, which have already attracted a lot of interest from the industry.
