“We listened to customer feedback and knew we had to rethink the program. It’s now easier than ever for our customers to share the savings with their friends and family,” says TJ Croissant, marketing manager for Sierra Trading Post.

“People are already telling their friends and family about great deals they find at Sierra Trading Post. This program just rewards them for already being great customers, and gives new customers an extra reason to give us a try,” says Gary Imig, president of Sierra Trading Post.
The program is simple:
1. An existing customer sets up a free account and invites friends to shop STP.
2. If those friends are first-time customers, they get $10 toward their first purchase.
3. The referring customer then gets $10 for each new customer.
Sierra Trading Post launched the program in 2009, and has significantly revamped it to add social sharing. In addition to being able to send an invitation via email, each referring customer can send out a personal URL via Facebook and Twitter. Once the invitations have been sent, the STP customer can see how many $10 gift cards they have simply by logging into their free account at SierraTradingPost.com. There is no limit to the amount of gift cards a customer can rack up, so it’s a win-win for new and existing customers.
“We listened to customer feedback and knew we had to rethink the program. It’s now easier than ever for our customers to share the savings with their friends and family,” says TJ Croissant, marketing manager for Sierra Trading Post. “After all, we anticipate the social sharing being a major driver in the success of the new Get $10, Give $10.”
