On October 23rd the team behind ContractExpress, the industry’s leading contract automation software, headed over to the ACC Annual Meeting in Denver to find out how many general counsel really know what contract automation is and how many departments actually use it to improve efficiency and to accelerate time to contract.
Contract automation is contract management before the ink dries. By automating the creation of documents such as NDAs and sales contracts, the in-house legal department can speed up contract drafting, free up attorneys’ time, and empower business users with compliant self-service contract creation. This year, most of the senior counsel we spoke with were familiar with the term and expressed an interest in the topic. It was very timely for the ACC to include a session on CDAs, NDAs, and JDAs complete with a discussion on automation technologies, specifically ContractExpress.
Business Integrity's goal at the conference was to capture the energy around contract automation and channel it into a meaningful form, which would serve to educate in-house counsel on the importance of the topic and its applications. What Business Integrity came up with was a simple, one page, survey that gets to the heart of the issue. Armed with the survey, Business Integrity reached out for feedback from the decision makers, the general counsel. The results of the survey will help other GCs and in-house teams do more with less.
To date, Business Integrity has collected hundreds of responses but our goal is to collect as many responses as possible. So if you are an in-house counsel and haven’t responded, please give us your feedback by completing the online version of our survey, link below:
All data will be analyzed anonymously but we ask that you provide your name and email so that the data may be filtered accordingly. All participants will be emailed a copy of the results along with our analysis once they are published.
