And he said unto them, "Cast your nets on the right side of the ship and ye shall find."

Fish On the Right Side, inc. (F.O.R.S.) is a newly formed nonprofit, based in Gainesville, Florida. The purpose of the organization is to express gratitude to our United States Armed Forces and their families by offering a variety of sportfishing opportunities at no cost.
Those who fish know the restorative value of spending time on the water. Our soldiers and their families endure immense stress. It is the hope and mission of Fish On the Right Side to ease their stress and enrich their lives by providing such experiences.
The primary programs of Fish On the Right Side will be professional guide services and deep-sea fishing charters for soldiers and veterans. Among other programs, "Heroes and Pros" will pair soldiers with professional tournament anglers for a day of on-the-water comraderie at a tournament venue. Other events include family fishing days, kids camps, fishing derbies and casting contests. Clinics and seminars, hosted by professional anglers and industry experts, will feature techniques, history and lore, and various other fishing-related topics.
The organization was founded by Kim Schultz, wife of professional tournament angler, Bernie Schultz. (bernieschultzfishing.com) For over 30 years, Bernie has fished major tournament series, such as the Bassmaster Elite and FLW Outdoors. Their sons, Daniel and Trevor, are also avid anglers.
"I want to thank our military, as well as give back to the sport which has been our family's livelihood. The fishing industry, overall, is very patriotic, so this seems to be a perfect fit. I know that many Americans are extremely grateful to those who sacrifice so much, as they protect and defend our nation, and preserve our freedom. Fish On the Right Side offers an excellent opportunity to express their gratitude. We will achieve or goal through the generosity of grateful citizens and industry sponsors," said the organization's founder.
An exciting event will take place this Veteran's Day. At noon, November 11th, a patriotic "flash mob" is scheduled to meet online at fishontherightside.org. They will participate in the inaugural fundraising "flash" drive. This is an opportunity for supporters to make simultaneous "en masse" donations to launch Fish On the Right Side. Everyone is invited. Of course, some may choose to donate early and avoid the rush.
