The TalkPoint powered webinar will be held on Wednesday, November 16, from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. PT. Dr. Timothy Fawcett, the director of the BioTechnical Institute of Maryland, will lend his biotechnology expertise to the Life Technologies’ Gibco® cell culture session to inform attendees on cell culture best practices and tips for improving culture outcomes including:

  •     Understanding the in-vitro system and affecting factors
  •     Working with components of cell culture media & formulations, serum performance

        characteristics

  •     Cell culture productivity and interrelationship between cell growth cycle & its environment
  •     Tips & techniques for maximizing recovery
  •     Use of standardized cell lines and future trend

The webinar will conclude with a round table to give participants the opportunity to discuss issues or topics specific to their research or current work. A raffle will also be held for a chance to win an iPod Shuffle.
