Imagine being able to get the same results of a gastric band surgery without ever going under the knife. This new radical approach to fighting obesity is called the Hypno-Band Weight Loss System and it all takes place in hypnosis.

"Weight loss programs fail because they take a symptomatic approach to obesity. To fight this war, we must go to the cause, which starts and ends in the mind," says certified hypnotherapist Kellen Marson.

The Hypno-Band Weight Loss System works by using cognitive behavioral therapy techniques to explore, understand, and change a person’s eating habits. Then, using hypnosis, a “virtual gastric band” is fitted to the stomach. This allows people eat less often and feel full more quickly.

"It's actually a very simple process. Using the power of suggestion, guided visualization and advanced hypnotic techniques, individuals will actually feel and believe they have had a real lap band fitted, in a real hospital, performed by real surgeons," says Kellen.

How does it work? The subconscious mind doesn't know the difference between reality and fantasy. It’s the part of our brain that is responsible for our habits, the way we behave, think, react and respond. It's ultimately the source and root of obesity, with the exception of about 5 percent of the population.

"As long as the suggestions do not go against a person's values, morals and belief system, the subconscious mind has no choice but to believe a gastric band exists in the body. It then automatically modifies a persons eating habits and behaviors to adapt to the gastric band," says Kellen.

Results reported by the National Health Service (NHS) during trials revealed results as high as 95%. Results from hypnotherapists across the United States range from 85% - 95%. However, this is still higher than the actual gastric band surgery, which at best has a success rate of 85%.

"The Hypno-Band is not a miracle. It does take some motivation from the client," says Kellen. "If a person is motivated to make lasting change and is open to trying hypnosis, it will work."

The Hypno-Band is a long-term solution to weight loss and it's safe for almost anyone, but the procedure is normally carried out on individuals with a Body Mass Index over 25. Unlike the invasive and expensive gastric band surgery, the HYPNO-BAND Weight Loss System is pain free, has no recover time and costs just a fraction of the actual surgery.

"The procedure itself is actually extremely relaxing and comfortable. What other weight loss program lets you go into a deep state of relaxation for an hour and awaken as if you just had a 4 hour nap," says Kellen.

There are other hypnotherapists that offer similar 'virtual' surgery's. However, the Hypno-Band is the original program in the United States, UK, Australia and many other countries. At present there are only 530 licensed practitioners in the United States.

"Before undergoing this procedure be sure that you ask and verify that your hypnotherapist is a licensed Hypno-Band Practitioner. If they say NO, I would be cautious before proceeding," says Kellen.

Kellen encourages those interested in the procedure to begin scheduling appointments now to prevent being placed on a waiting list. He does require a free initial consultation and screening to determine if you are a candidate for the HYPNO-BAND procedure. Kellen is a certified hypnotherapist and owner of Midwest Hypnosis. At present he is the only licensed Hypno-Band practitioner in Wisconsin. Although he works with a wide range of presenting problems, his heart lies in fighting obesity. Kellen is a dynamic and motivated speaker that often speaks to groups about unleashing the power of the subconscious mind. He has been a Soldier in the Army National Guard for 11 years and is currently a SSG.
