The Pressure testing training course covers pneumatic testing of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning systems with inert gases.
UK (PRWEB) November 02, 2011
The pressure testing training package including strength test and tightness test comprises two stand alone elements which can be undertaken independently or in conjunction: a theory online course (certified for CPD) and a practical training and assessment day at any of elearning-training.com's 9 UK centers in Aberdeen, Bristol, Derby, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Manchester, Newcastle and Oxford.
The training in pressure testing covers pneumatic testing of refrigeration and air conditioning systems with inert gases. The online theory training on pressure testing will be followed separately by a question paper. Additional practical training and assessment must be completed before anyone can pressure test. When successful engineers will be awarded with a Diploma accredited by CIBSE for Continuing Professional Development and Star Refrigeration confirming course completion.
The course materials and information in Pressure testing are accessible via http://www.elearning-training.com, an industry award winning online training platform which offers a modern alternative to traditional methods of training. It delivers theoretical underpinning knowledge on demand by allowing students to access learning material at any time and from any place, simply by logging onto the website with a user name and a password. In addition, candidates can also attend 1 day practical training sessions at any of their 9 centers throughout the UK.
pressure testing training syllabus
The candidate will gain the knowledge required by studying the pressure test online theory course. A 90% pass mark will be required before a candidate can undertake a practical assessment, the course covers:
relevant standard specifications; allowable test pressures: what to look for, identification of hazards, technical appraisals, written schemes of examination , PRV settings, vessel & pipe condition etc.
HSE GS4 Safety in pressure testing.
Generic Risk Assessment for pressure testing.
Method statements for Strength and Pressure testing.
Documentation, certification etc.
The practical training and assessment involves:
•The safe use of equipment, to include: hoses, fittings, relief valves, regulators, manifold etc.
•Compliance to all method statements and risk assessments whilst carrying out strength and tightness testing on the rig or system and correct completion of all necessary paperwork.
•Knowledge of leak repair procedures on a system whilst carrying out a strength and tightness test, this will include Safe Venting of OFN.
•Knowledge of pressure testing by answering oral questions immediately prior to commencement of any pressure test. A 100% pass mark must be achieved before pressure test can commence.
•Answering written questions 100% correctly during the assessment.
A video preview of what is involve in the pressure testing training online course is available at http://www.elearning-training.com/C000206-Pressuretestingtrainingcourse.aspx
The online course also contains a selection of documentation and forms available for download. The candidate can customise these documents to create procedures for their requirements. These documents cover:
Standard Specification -Pressure test Certification of Systems
Standard Specification - Pressure Test Procedures
Risk Assessment - Strength and Tightness Pressure Testing
Method Statement - OFN Strength & Tightness Pressure Testing of Site Assembled Systems
Method Statement template - OFN Pressure Testing
Standard Form - Systems Pressure Test Record
Standard Form - System Pressure Test Certificate
COSHH assessment - Oxygen Free Nitrogen & OFN mixtures
More than 12,000 students have joined this pioneering online learning website available from anywhere at anytime which have now awarded 20,000 CPD Diplomas to successful candidates.
The Refrigeration courses and Air Conditioning courses and F-gas regulations courses are available free of charge from the website as well as a selection of documentation and forms from the “Free Library”. These can be customise to create procedures for specific engineer's requirements. It includes downloads on health & safety, technical specifications, method statements, risk assessments.
