As temperatures drop, thousands from around the Northeast are getting anxious to stock up at the 32nd Annual Cabot Hosiery Mills Sock Sale. The sale, which is now called the “Eighth Wonder of the World,” offers deeply discounted, Vermont-made socks during two November weekends: 12 and 13, 19 and 20 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the mill in Northfield, Vermont.

The socks styles stretch far and wide, from men’s wool dress socks and cotton crew socks to wild novelty and holiday patterns. A large swath of military surplus socks lines one side of the room.
