The sale, which is now called the “Eighth Wonder of the World,” offers deeply discounted, Vermont-made socks during two November weekends: 12 and 13, 19 and 20 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the mill in Northfield, Vermont.
“Every year for over 30 years it is a pleasure to invite the community into our family-owned sock mill,” said Ric Cabot, third-generation owner of Cabot Hosiery Mills. “Each year the sale seems to get bigger and it has become an annual event for many families and sock lovers from all around.”
Perfect for pre-holiday shopping, people from far and wide come for the variety of discounted athletic socks made specifically for skiing, snowboarding, hiking, running, and other outdoor sports. The socks styles stretch far and wide, from men’s wool dress socks and cotton crew socks to wild novelty and holiday patterns. A large swath of military surplus socks lines one side of the room.
