We are privileged to be partners with Recursos Para la Vida and ISSSTE in what is clearly one of the leading global population health initiatives in the world,” said Byron Gehring CEO and President of ConvergenceHealth.

The relentless trend of rising chronic and non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, cardiac disease and hypertension have become the number one health priority in both the developed nations and the developing nations around the world. The need for effective innovative population health improvement solutions has increased substantially and that is why the Mexican government is taking a stand and has joined forces with ConvergenceHealth.

Launched in 2010 ConvergenceHealth was selected with its partner company Recursos Para la Vida based in Mexico City to be the technology application for a comprehensive population health initiative for an estimated 12 million Mexican government employees and their families and dependents. The success of the first phase of this unique initiative has led the Mexican government to recommit to a recent multi-year contract.

“We are privileged to be partners with Recursos Para la Vida and ISSSTE in what is clearly one of the leading global population health initiatives in the world,” said Byron Gehring CEO and President of ConvergenceHealth.

For the last year ConvergenceHealth systems have been the back bone of the prevenISSSTE program. prevenISSSTE uses the world leading technology of ConvergenceHealth to provide web based customized health assessments of individuals and then delivers health improvement programs for nutrition and exercise to the millions of ISSSTE members throughout all of Mexico.

Together with comprehensive Spanish language health evaluation and program modules, resources and health information, the system offers prevenISSSTE a fully integrated approach to health improvement. The multiyear agreement also provides for the further expansion of service features including the development of an innovative application to allow clinicians to access real time data from health assessments completed by patients in their offices just prior to their office appointment.

“Because of the unique platform and application design, ConvergenceHealth has been able to fully integrate Spanish language needs as well as the clinical and cultural requirements of this health initiative of ISSSTE,” said Miguel Ramos, CEO and President of Recursos Para la Vida, partners to ConvergenceHealth in the program.
