Santa Clarita, CA (PRWEB) November 01, 2011
Santa Clarita-based general contractor AMG & Associates, Inc. (AMG) announces the dedication of its recent project, Los Angeles (L.A.) County Fire Station 156.
The public is invited to attend the fire station’s opening on November 2, 2011, at 24505 Copper Hill Drive in Valencia, California. Beginning at 11:00 a.m., the program features Mike Antonovich, L.A. County Mayor and Supervisor, and L.A. County Fire Chief Daryl L. Osby. AMG President/CEO Albert Giacomazzi and other key members of AMG’s team will also be on hand for the festivities.
At some 11,000 square feet, Fire Station 156 provides much-needed work and living space for L.A. County firefighters. The facility complies with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, or LEED, standards, a critical element that serves to underscore AMG’s commitment to green building practices.
Recently named to Inc. magazine’s fifth annual Inc. 500|5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies, AMG is known for its high-quality construction projects that greatly benefit their respective communities across California and beyond. The company is particularly sought after for its expertise in constructing fire stations. In recent months, AMG celebrated two additional fire station openings: Mill Creek Fire Station and Barracks in Palmdale, California, for the U.S Forest Service—dedicated on the two-year anniversary of the Station Fire—and Fire Station 43 in California’s Simi Valley for the County of Ventura.
“Fire stations are vitally important to the health and safety of Southern California residents,” notes Giacomazzi. “Everyone at AMG feels privileged that our many years of experience can benefit our families, friends, neighbors, and the broader communities we serve in such an integral way.”
The L.A. County Fire Department eagerly anticipates the fire station’s opening. “Fire Station 156 has been built in a key location to support hundreds of residents throughout the Santa Clarita Valley,” says Assistant Chief Bill Niccum. “Our firefighters are highly skilled and ready to quickly respond to any medical emergency, structure fires, and wild land fires. The Los Angeles County Fire Department provides unrivaled resources and services to our residents, including highly trained paramedics, a large fleet of firefighting helicopters, urban search and rescue teams, hazardous materials teams, and much more. We will continue in our commitment to provide the highest level of life safety and fire protection services to our community.”
Noting the fire station’s value to the County, Antonovich says, “This new facility is a vital component in our efforts to improve fire safety and prevention for our residents county-wide.”
