The National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) is spreading the word about the benefits of improved organization and its impact on productivity through its 8th annual Get Organized (GO) Month in January 2012.

GO Month is timed to coincide with the New Year, when many people are thinking about changing habits to improve their lives. In fact, improving organization supports several of the most common New Year’s resolutions, including saving money, managing stress or spending more time with friends and family.

This is why, throughout the month of January, NAPO is encouraging people to Get Organized and begin seeing the positive results. During GO Month, dozens of NAPO Chapters and thousands of members will host public events around the country, including Ask the Organizer panels, Organize to Economize in the New Year workshops, Shred and Organize events and much more. GO Month events will happen from Miami, Florida to Seattle, Washington and many points in between; a list of local events will be available at http://www.napo.net as January approaches.

Getting organized can make a big difference. A recent NAPO survey showed that 65% of respondents consider their homes to be at least moderately disorganized; 96% of those respondents felt they would save time by being more organized. In addition, Price Waterhouse Cooper estimates that workers spend nearly 50% of their time looking for information because it is not organized properly.

Contacting a NAPO Professional Organizer is a good first step for anyone who is ready to improve their organization and enjoy a better quality of life. NAPO’s free online Professional Organizer Directory is the easiest way to find a local professional who can help; it is searchable by zip code, country and organizing service.

Visit the NAPO website for more information about GO Month, and check back often for updates on GO Month activities and to get details about local events.

About NAPO: The premier national association dedicated to the field of organizing, the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) is The Organizing Authority®.
