LiquidSpace, the mobile application that helps anyone find a great space to work in real-time, today released a new self-service venue onboarding tool and administration console for venue owners and managers.

The new functionality provides a simple way for workspace operators to gain access to the growing market of mobile workers. Until now, venues were vetted, selected and onboarded by the company as part of a controlled private beta. With this new release, anyone can add a venue, in any part of the world.

LiquidSpace puts workspace operators in full control, with self-service functionality to add and modify any workspace listing, including the ability to set workspace pricing, descriptions, amenities and photos, and to control who can view, schedule, and book a workspace and their terms of use.

Anyone from people who make it their business to sell space, including business centers, co-working spaces and hotels, to those with excess real estate or office space can now tap into short-term transaction opportunities to monetize latent or excess capacity, at no additional cost. Businesses can also proactively share space privately with valued customers, clients, partners and employees.

The core LiquidSpace service and apps are free for venues and users alike. The company takes a percentage on any paid transactions. Venues can also be listed freely, with access provided to private parties only.

Since May 2011, over $3 million worth of short-term office and meeting space transactions have been facilitated through the LiquidSpace platform.

“We’re ready for prime time. The market for short-term workspace rental delivered in real-time is growing rapidly,” said Mark Gilbreath, co-founder and CEO of LiquidSpace. “Businesses large and small are adopting mobility programs and alternative workplace strategies. Comprehensive and extensible space listing solutions are needed within the larger office space industry to meet this growing demand from mobile workers.”

Additional key new features being released today include:

  •     Full-Service Workspace Listings Management – Add or modify bookable workspaces directly from the venue manager homepage
  •     Flexible Hours of Operations Control – Venue administrators can now set different hours of operation like extending hours for some members or shrinking the availability window for others
  •     Set Holiday Hour Exceptions – Now you can manage limited holiday hours and venue closings that members can see on your venue calendar
  •     Choose Who Can Access – Make your space widely available but retain control over who you let book rooms and their terms of use
  •     Rent by the Hour – Office space owners can rent space by the hour to mobile professionals anywhere

More than ever before, companies are choosing to go “office-less” for more flexibility and freedom in how and where they work.

There is a substantial opportunity for business owners wanting to make their real estate work harder for them and reach the 1 billion mobile workers worldwide.

"NextSpace has been using LiquidSpace across all four of our locations for the past year. Not only does LiquidSpace help us manage our current count of 500 members, it’s also a great tool for managing our excess capacity,” says Jeremy Neuner, cofounder and CEO of NextSpace. “In addition to our monthly members, we can now serve a growing number of short-term, on-demand customers. As the nature of work continues to change, we expect this customer segment to grow exponentially in the coming year. LiquidSpace is the perfect all-in-one marketing and customer engagement tool to meet this new demand."
