Catalogs.com Sending Two Facebook Fans on Cyber Monday Shopping Spree

Catalogs.com will contribute to Cyber Monday sales with $1500 in shopping spree prizes at any of the stores at Catalogs.com for two Facebook fans.

Catalogs.com is giving two Facebook fans Cyber Monday shopping trips through the more than 750 stores on its website. Facebook fans who enter the "$1500 Cyber Monday Shopping Contest" will have a chance to win $500 or $1000 in merchandise at Catalogs.com (http://www.catalogs.com). All contest entrants qualify to win the $500 shopping spree; those contest entrants who refer at least five of their friends to the contest will qualify to win the grand prize of $1000 in merchandise at Catalogs.com.

"Cyber Monday is the official online start to the holiday retail season and we are excited for two of our Facebook fans to win a shopping spree at Catalogs.com," says Leslie Linevsky. "The prizes will make a sizable dent in the lucky shoppers' gift lists."

The Catalogs.com contest is open to fans of its Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/shopcatalogs). The contest runs November 1 through noon on Cyber Monday, November 28, 2011.

Cyber Monday spending in the U.S. exceeded $1 billion in 2010 online sales, according to comScore, Inc. That figure was up 16 percent for the single day of online spending from Cyber Monday 2009. The surge in Cyber Monday spending was impacted by a rise in average spending per buyer, which was up 12%, and not due to an increase in the number of online shoppers, which grew by only 4%.

Cyber Monday, first recognized in 2005 by the National Retail Association, is the Monday following Thanksgiving and Black Friday.
