Dallas, TX (PRWEB) November 01, 2011
Hartline Dacus Barger Dreyer LLP is pleased to announce the addition of nine attorneys from the Houston-based law firm of Barker Lyman, P.C. These attorneys have a broad base of experience in civil litigation and will significantly expand HDBD’s practice in Houston.
Charles Lyman was a founding partner of Barker Lyman, and he now brings his extensive litigation experience to HDBD. Mr. Lyman has tried over 250 cases to verdict since he began practicing law in 1972. He has been Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization for more than thirty years. He has an AV (“Preeminent”) peer review rating from Martindale-Hubbell, and he has been awarded Diplomate status by his peers in the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). He is a past president of the local ABOTA chapter. He has also been selected for the Texas Super Lawyers® list by Thompson Reuters every year since 2005. His practice focuses on construction-related litigation, products liability, medical-device litigation, professional-malpractice claims, premises-liability cases, personal-injury matters, plant-explosion cases, catastrophic industrial-accident cases, and other types of civil litigation.
“We anticipate this will be an excellent move for us and for our clients. We share a common vision with our new colleagues at HDBD for understanding our clients’ business, moving creatively and efficiently toward their goals, managing litigation in a cost-sensitive manner, and achieving exceptional results,” says Mr. Lyman.
Barker Lyman partners Jim Corbett, Marshall Rosenberg, and Karri Webb, along with five other Barker Lyman attorneys, are joining Mr. Lyman in the move to HDBD.
“We believe this merger will be highly beneficial to our clients,” says C. Vernon Hartline, Jr., one of HDBD’s founding partners. “Barker Lyman has been an exceptional firm; tracing its origin to 1952. Their attorneys are true trial lawyers, and they really know their way around the courthouse. These new attorneys will enable us to strengthen and broaden what we offer clients in the Houston area.”
HDBD will be moving its Houston office to Barker Lyman’s current location at 3600 One Houston Center at 1221 McKinney St.
