There’s treasure hidden everywhere: gold buried underground, war relics beneath unturned stones, and ancient coins that are like diamonds in the rough. But what if there was a way to find these treasures with a simple swish on an iPhone?
Minelab, the industry’s world leader in metal detector technology, makes that dream a reality with its new Epic Find mobile game for iPhone. Developed by veteran mobile developer Central Street Games, Epic Find takes players from Florida’s balmy tropical islands to the historic battlefields of Virginia in search of pirate booty, civil war relics and untold treasure. Featuring four locations and four metal detectors, each one better than the last, Epic Find keeps players on the hunt for everything from small copper coins to the diamond rings of forgotten outlaws.
“Epic Find is the next best thing to owning a real Minelab,” said Gary Schafer, General Manager and Vice President of Minelab Americas. “There’s always something new to find, and it’s a great game for amateur and hardcore detectors alike.”
With their iPhone camera, players scan the ground until they hear the signature beep of their in-game metal detector in Detect Mode. Then, in Pinpoint Mode, players use their finger to conduct an in-depth search of a detailed area and strategize which clues to hunt. Finally, players dig for treasure, but beware: too many digs without a find lowers the Patience Meter. If the player loses their patience or your detector runs out of battery, they're out of luck!
But just like finding treasure in real life, Epic Find comes with a sweet reward: Beating the game reveals a secret surprise gift that players can actually use in Minelab stores. Best of all, Epic Find is a free download in Apple’s App Store, and players can share their own epic finds with their friends via Minelab’s Facebook and Twitter pages. Strike gold in both the virtual and real worlds with Minelab’s Epic Find: where fortune is just a finger tap away.
