U.S. Navy Utilizes Route1 Identity Management Solutions

Route1's security and identity management solutions are proving to be a great match for the U.S. Navy's needs with regard to mobility and data security," said Captain Scott Langley, CIO U.S. Navy Reserve

Honolulu, Hawaii and Toronto, Ontario (November 2, 2011) – Today from AFCEA’s TechNet Asia-Pacific Conference and Expo, Route1 Inc. (TSXV: ROI) a security and identity management company, announced that the United States (U.S.) Navy, since August 1, 2011 has ordered 1,746 MobiKEY Fusion devices, of which 1,708 devices have been shipped, and a total 1,716 TruOFFICE subscriptions of its comprehensive identity management solutions have been ordered. The deployment for the U.S. Navy is comprised of Route1’s private communications and service delivery platform, the DEFIMNET, its TruOFFICE application software, and its MobiKEY Fusion device.

"Route1's security and identity management solutions are proving to be a great match for the U.S. Navy's needs with regard to mobility and data security," said Captain Scott Langley, CIO U.S. Navy Reserve. "With Navy personnel deployed and protecting freedom across the globe, it is essential that we have powerful and proven solutions on hand to maintain the confidentiality and integrity of critical data. Route1 provides us with a tool that helps us accomplish our mission of being a global force for good."

The Company expects the U.S. Navy’s usage of the Route1 Solution to continue to expand to the maximum number of permissible TruOFFICE application software licenses and associated users registered with the DEFIMNET platform of 5,000. These 5,000 members of the U.S. Navy will be empowered to access their digital resources remotely without risk of their data being compromised.

“We are very pleased with the progress made across the U.S. Navy for procurement of Route1’s secure remote access and identity management solutions,” said Tony Busseri, CEO of Route1 Inc. “Our philosophy on data security, which we share with the U.S. Navy as well as a myriad of other military and government organizations worldwide, is simple: “Protect the Fortress”. Route1 stands firmly on the tenant that critical information should stay within the electronic walls built to protect it. As such, the functionality inherent to Route1’s proprietary platforms and software, combined with our MobiKEY devices and integration expertise, empowers the U.S. Navy with proven tools to ensure secure remote user access, identity assurance and multifactor authentication, as well as to maintain the integrity of its critical data. “

Under the terms of the June 2011 agreement between the outside contractor with which Route1 has secured this order, Route1 is selling its integrated security and identity management solutions to the outside contractor, which is reselling the Route1 Solution to the U.S. Navy to address its need for universal, secure remote access to digital resources and sensitive data.
