IdeaPaint Extends Classroom Makeover Contest Due to Unprecedented Interest

Due to overwhelming interest in its first Classroom Makeover Contest, IdeaPaint announced today that it has initiated Round 2 of the contest, which will run from November 1-15, 2011.

In October, Manhattan’s iSchool and Wy’east Middle School in Hood River, Oregon were IdeaPaint’s very first Classroom Makeover winners. The creator of high-performance dry-erase paint solutions will now award two additional schools with gratis dry-erase classroom makeovers.

IdeaPaint will automatically enter all first-round entrants that were not previously selected as winners into the second round. And, new to the second round, IdeaPaint will ask for help in the decision-making process by allowing the public to vote for its favorite submissions.

“We were floored by the initial interest in the Classroom Makeover Contest, which made it incredibly difficult to select our first winners,” said Bob Munroe, president and CEO of IdeaPaint. “All of the schools that entered put a tremendous amount of effort into the process, and their submissions affirmed our belief that there is a great need for our product in schools across the country. We are determined to do more to help deserving schools and are incredibly excited for Round 2.”

IdeaPaint is also offering corporate users a chance to win a “work makeover.” In the contest’s first round, San Francisco-based IndieGoGo was selected for an office transformation—check out their new, collaborative space here.

IdeaPaint will present Round 2’s winners with up to 500-square feet of its high-performance dry-erase paint. The company will also provide professional installation of its product.
