At its recent annual meeting, Public Health Foundation Enterprises, (PHFE), elected new corporate officers and added two new members to its Board of Directors.
PHFE's new corporate officers include Bruce Lai, Chairman of the Board, Peter Jacobson, First Vice Chair, Erik Ramanathan, Second Vice Chair and Chair of the Governance Committee, Karen Angel, Treasurer And Chair of the Finance Committee and Mike Gomez, Secretary. Dr. Michael Ascher was also elected Immediate Past Chair.
Mr. Lai (Board Chair) is currently the Vice President for Market Solutions for ePals, an educational technology company with the world’s largest K-12 social learning network.
Mr. Jacobson (1st Vice- Chair) is a Professor of Health Law and Policy for the Department of Health Management and Policy and Director for the Center for Law, Ethics and Health at the University of Michigan, School of Public Health.
Mr. Ramanathan (2nd Vice-Chair) is the Executive Director of the Program on the Legal Profession at Harvard Law School.
Ms. Angel, CPA, (Treasurer) is the Global Implementation Director at the Global Media & Entertainment Center for Ernst & Young LLP.
Mr. Gomez (Secretary) is the Chief Executive Officer for Fiscal Credit Union.
Dr. Ascher, MD, FACP, (Immediate Past Chair) is the Senior Medical Advisor for the Biology & Biotechnology Research Program at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.
The PHFE Board of Directors also elected two new board members.
Scott Filer is the Chief Executive Officer of the National Children’s Center in Washington DC.
Jo Ellen Warner is a Senior Program Analyst for the National Association of County and City Health Officials also located in Washington, DC.
