Art & Cuisine Adventures Now Contributing to Adopt-A-Platoon

Share Article

The holidays are coming and American troops are far away from home. Art & Cuisine Adventures is contributing to Adopt-A-Platoon and would like everyone's help to lift the spirits and support the men and women of the United States military.

John Kurowski of Kurowski Development Company in Denver, has a project called Adopt-A-Platoon. Several times a year John gathers up home baked cookies and other foods that will travel well, along with pictures and cards, and sends them to a platoon serving over seas.

In order to arrive before the holidays, the next shipment leaves November 18, 2011 to a platoon of 40 soldiers in Camp Phoenix, Afghanistan.

Anyone that wants to use their culinary or artistic talents to help with this event is encouraged to participate. Those living in the Denver area can bring a smile to a troopers face and heart by contributing homemade baked goods. Those that live in other parts of the country or world can write a personal note, create a piece of art and/or send a check to help with shipping costs.

Art & Cuisine Adventures will be happy to pick up any baked goods in the Denver metro area. Notes, cards, artistic contributions, baked goodies, as well as checks to help offset shipping can be sent to:
