According to Fred Hagerman, CMO Marketing/Public Relations, “October was a record month in new member growth at Firstmark Credit Union. We experienced a 92% increase in new members over the same time last year.”

The majority of these new members are opening a checking accout in addition to a savings account. “Our checking account is free. There’s no debit card fee, no monthly fee, and no minimum balance,” said Hagerman.

“Add to that features like the nation’s largest free ATM network and 10¢ cash back on debit/signature transactions, it’s easy to see why consumers are choosing Firstmark Credit Union.” Acknowledging that the October uptick could be from consumers fed up with big bank fees, or as a result of the Bank Transfer Day movement, Hagerman added that “Firstmark Credit Union is ready to serve anyone who wants to switch to a credit union.”
