Concord Technology Group’s Expansion and Relocation Draws Crain’s Cleveland Business Recognition

Cleveland-area Concord Technology Group has just relocated to Valley View, Ohio. Rapid growth has necessitated the opening of a new 3,000-square-foot office / warehouse facility. News of this expansion caught the attention of Crain’s Cleveland business, earning the IT services firm the title of region “bright spot” by the respected publication.

While the U.S. Census Bureau may have issued a new report last month that indicated the Cleveland region is “deeply embedded in a gloomy [economic-related] national trend,” one Cleveland business is exhibiting signs to the contrary. Concord Technology Group, a Cleveland area IT services firm, recently relocated to an expanded office / warehouse in Valley View. This expansion earned the company a “bright spot” nod in the August 18, 2011 edition of Crain’s Cleveland Business.

In September, Cleveland.com reported, “Already-high poverty rates held steady in 2010 in Cleveland, the census bureau will announce today, but household incomes declined again across the region.” What’s more, the unemployment rate for the Cleveland metropolitan area was 8.0% in August according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, placing the region 148 among similar-sized areas of the country. All of this might lead one to believe that business is stagnating in the city, but Concord Technology Group is proving that assumption wrong.

An IT services firm that offers a comprehensive suite of managed services, Concord Technology has witnessed such growth since it opened in 2008 that it recently found its Lake County facility a bit too cramped. That realization prompted the company to relocate to a 3,000-square-foot office / warehouse space in Valley View late this past summer.

When Northeast Ohio's leading source for weekly business news, analysis and commentary for the last quarter century, Crain’s Cleveland Business, picked up on this news, the publication promptly singled out Concord Technology Group in its August 18, 2011 “Bright Spots” column.

To celebrate the expansion and media recognition, Andrew Lingenfelter, Concord Technology’s president, hosted a grand opening celebration. On October 28, vendors and customers alike were invited to tour the new location at 6180 Halle Drive, Unit C in Valley View, Ohio.

“We’re extremely proud of the fact that we’ve been able to witness such growth in such a short span of time,” explains Lingenfelter. “In just over three years, we’ve become the go-to source for all our customers’ hardware, software and support solutions. Increasingly, they are turning to us for their networking, infrastructure and security product needs. As we continue to grow, we hope to pass on our good fortune to greater Cleveland by bringing economic and job growth to the area.”
