Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell has endorsed TJ Aldous in his campaign for the 25th District Senatorial Seat. The governor has recognized that TJ Aldous will continue to work hard if elected, to listen to the citizens and bring jobs to the 25th District.
“The people of the 25th Senatorial District need a leader who will fight for them. TJ Aldous is a leader who will work with my administration to enhance economic vitality in the 25th District. TJ Aldous knows that economic growth requires a climate where job creators are free to build their businesses without excessive government controls. His belief in limited government, his desire to keep our tax rates low and reduce unnecessary regulations, his strong support for our classrooms, and his unwavering commitment to our families make TJ a much-needed addition to the Virginia Senate. We need TJ Aldous in the Virginia Senate.”
Governor Bob McDonnell’s endorsement is one of many achievements for the Aldous campaign.
TJ Aldous has also received endorsements from Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, Delegate Ben Cline, Delegate Rob Bell, Delegate Steve Landes, and the Virginia Citizens Defense League.
Attorney General Cuccinelli supports TJ Aldous and his efforts to bring the government back to the people in the 25th District. He knows that Aldous has his eyes focused on the 25th district, unlike the current senator, Creigh Deeds.
Cuccinelli recently said,
"TJ Aldous is running for the Virginia Senate because he knows that it's time to take a stand against the growth of government and the gradual erosion of our liberties. He understands that a burgeoning bureaucracy won't grow our economy, and as Senator, he will be a voice for pro-growth, pro-Virginia policies. I look forward to working with T.J. when he joins the front lines of the battle for individual liberty and personal responsibility in Richmond.”
Delegate Ben Cline, from the 24th House District spoke on TJ’s belief in strong family as well as TJ's goal to reduce unemployement in the 25th Senatorial District.
Delegate Cline said,
“TJ Aldous will be a solid addition to the Virginia Senate. TJ and I share many beliefs on what the government should be doing to improve the lives of the citizens of our district. Our belief in assisting those, the job creators, with lower taxes and fewer regulations is the best way to reduce unemployment. His belief in limited government, keeping our tax rates low, strong support for our classrooms, and his unwavering support for our families will make TJ an effective member of the Virginia Senate. Please join me in supporting TJ Aldous as the next State Senator for the 25th District.”
Delegate Rob Bell from the 58th House District and Delegate Steve Landes from the 25th House District have also shown support for TJ and his campaign for the 25th District Senatorial Seat.
“I’m proud to endorse TJ Aldous, who will fight to preserve Virginia’s #1 business ranking and bring jobs to our state,” Delegate Bell said.
Delegate Landes said, “TJ Aldous is a compassionate husband and father who will bring new ideas and leadership to the 25th Senate District. TJ and I are both firm believers in low taxes, less regulation, and limited government. He strongly believes in the idea that the government does not create jobs, but creates an environment that is conducive to job growth. His strong support for our state's education system will ensure that our children will continue to be competitive in the 21st Century. TJ will make a great addition to the Virginia Senate and I fully support his campaign efforts because I know that he will work hard for the people of the 25th Senate District."
The 25th Senatorial District includes all of Nelson County, as well as Highland County, Bath County, Alleghany County, Rockbridge County and most of Albemarle County, as well as the cities of Charlottesville, Buena Vista, Lexington and Covington.
