The YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas announced today that two leading firms in social responsibility and social media, Sunshine Avenue and The Marketing Zen Group, will be providing social media and digital PR for the 2011 Capital One Bank Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot. This year’s event is expected to have an exponentially greater social impact by increasing participation and fundraising with these two Dallas powerhouse firms spearheading the social campaign.

For over 40 years, this event has been a tremendous fundraiser for the YMCA. This year’s event will see over 40,000 participants and 20,000 onlookers creating one of the largest multi-event races in the country.

The Capital One Bank Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot is one of the largest multi-event races in the country. The Trot offers a scenic trip through downtown Dallas on a certified 5K course and a fairly flat yet challenging 8 mile course through downtown Dallas and historic Oak Cliff. This year there will be a new and improved controlled start line to ensure a good clean start for all.
