Awarding Twitter Users with Kindle Fire for Price of 140 Characters

Share Article is hosting an essay contest on Twitter, or “Twessay Contest,” encouraging current, former and future students to submit an answer to a prompt designed by the team. Three lucky winners will each win an Amazon Kindle Fire.

We want to hear how our visitors have overcome obstacles and actually used them to find great success by focusing on their educational goals. today announced an opportunity for those pursuing an education to reflect on their scholarly endeavors. The contest asks Twitter users to “explain how a setback you’ve faced had a positive influence on your education pursuit,” in under 140 characters.

“Everyone has faced obstacles at some point in their life,” said Anne Larsson, spokesperson. “We want to hear how our visitors have overcome those obstacles and actually used them to find great success by focusing on their educational goals.”

The Twessay Contest launched November 8 and runs through November 18. Three grand prize winners will each receive an Amazon Kindle Fire and will be announced on November 21. Judges will vote based on the relevance of the entry to the topic, the creativity of the entry and the likelihood that the entry would inspire a student to enroll in college.

“We’re encouraging everyone to participate,” said Larsson. “Success stories can be great motivators and can inspire others who are working hard toward their own goals.”
